Cheryl Knowlton, DREI

Speaker Details

Cheryl began speaking at an early age and has never stopped (just ask her husband). She is the Branch Broker of the Salt Lake Branch of ERA Brokers Consolidated. Cheryl delivers engaging expertise and specializes in enthusiastically empowering real estate excellence. She has charismatically “edu-tained” thousands of real estate and mortgage professionals in the 12 years she has been teaching, speaking and training. Cheryl is an eternal, enthusiastic student about all aspects of real estate related subjects.

Cheryl is a third-generation REALTOR® who started her sales career at the age of 16, where she quickly rose to the top of her local high fashion clothing store. She has been in sales ever since for a number of companies and was a speaker in 1994 at a national sales convention after having broken several company records for recruiting. Cheryl began her real estate career in 1999 in the California Bay Area, obtaining her Real Estate License in order to work as a Mortgage Lender for a reputable company in Utah, becoming the California Branch Manager. Since that time, she has been involved in many aspects of Mortgage and Real Estate, including Wholesale Lending, where she began teaching Continuing Education for both Real Estate and Mortgage. Cheryl got her Mortgage Broker’s License in 2007 - just in time to get a front row seat to watch the 2008 mortgage meltdown.

Cheryl obtained her Utah real estate license in 2007 and her Utah Broker license in 2014. She loves the real estate industry and is deeply committed to helping agents to raise the bar in their business – regardless of how long they have been licensed. Cheryl loves travelling throughout the country to various State and Local Boards of REALTORS® to teach REBAC courses, as well as her popular continuing education courses, of which she has authored dozens. Cheryl believes that students learn best when they are laughing and having fun, and that education begins with engagement. She structures her classes so that students can comfortably participate in learning through a variety of modalities.

Cheryl is an active 6-year member of The National Speakers Association (NSA), and the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA). She very proudly earned her Distinguished Real Estate Instructor Designation in 2013. She has also been actively involved in the Women’s Council of REALTORS® since 1999, having served on local boards in two different states, as well as on the Utah State Board.

Cheryl and her husband Rick absolutely love living in Eagle Mountain, Utah, where they have lived for the last twelve years with two of their nine children, and their beloved dog, “Buzz.” She is a Disney fanatic and frequently loses her voice at college football games. She loves to read, shop, and travel. Cheryl earned her most prized “designation” of all time on January 10, 2014, when she earned the title of “Grammy.”
