Bette Curtis - RISK MANAGEMENT

No one is more creative in an industry than REALTORS® . REALTORS ®s find various ways to promote their business and themselves. Learn the dos and don’ts to keep you out of an ethics hearing and more.

Real estate agents, as professional advisors to their clients and the competitive nature of the business must balance the risks in a highly technical and regulated industry

Real estate transactions generate piles of documentation. The amount of paperwork required in every real estate transaction demands efficient document management, filing and archiving systems. One missing document, or unchecked box, could derail a transaction and lead to client damage claims and lawsuits.

Another area is copyright infringement on websites, marketing and emails. It is the wild west to be the best in a field of competitors.

REALTORS ® sometimes lead to anti-competitive actions on the part of overzealous agents, including price fixing, commission or working as a group against another competitor.

Carefully market yourself without the consequences.
